12) rainy day 봄비 (bom be) Il pleure dans mon coeur.

Rain rain rain
Sky is cryin' cryin' cryin'
Sky ain't ain't ain't smilin'

Meanwhile flowers are drinkin' drinkin' drinkin'
Beautiful flowers must have been thirsty under the sunshine.
They might have been tired of shiny days and cravin' for the rainy days.
It ain't ain't ain't pleasant to be wet, but let it rain, let it rain, let it rain! (Let it snow ~ let it snow~ let it snow~ I love that melody! :D )

Normally, I don't like rainy humid weather, but today, it was fine.
More than fine!
The rainy scenery was nice too, and it reminded me of a quote from a french poem.
"Il pleure dans mon coeur Comme il pleut sur la ville"  by Paul Verlaine.
In English, it can be said like this: It rains in my heart Like it rains on the town.
"It rains in my heart" can be said as The (eyedrop) is falling. or I'm crying.
Well,,,"il pleure" can be translated as he's crying or it's crying.
Hmm translating is quite complicated here, and that complexity is what makes this poem attractive.
---------
봄비 is a Korean word I like!
Bom be or Bom bi sounds soft, cute and it means soft spring rain.
Haha when it's written in English, it looks like BOMB! lol Bomby! >_< No no non! It's not that dangerous! ;) :D It's soft! :)
봄 (Bom) means spring, and 비 (be/ bee/ bi) means rain. BEeeee! being.....
You get wet by the rain, and you think of your existence/sense of being. lol :p
Sounds philosophical lol!
(By the way, 밤비 sounds cute too! Bambi! the little dear deer! this 밤비 means night rain! night night!)
------------
Get back to that french poem by Paul Verlaine.... Get back to French language... ;)
I notice that "it's rainy" sounds quite interesting in Korean or in French.
We say "it's rainy" 비가 내리다 and it's directly translated as: The rain is falling, rather than it's raining or it rains.
Sometimes Koreans say "비가 온다." meaning "The rain is coming." instead of "it's raining."
Also we say the flowers are falling down like the rain.... and in Korean it sounds really nice to say 꽃비가 내리다.
꽃 means flower, and 꽃비가 내리다 means Flowers of rain are falling. or Flower is raining... :)
Somtimes there is really flowery rain in the spring, when it's windy! Like the falling leaves...
I mean...fallen flower petals on the ground seems like snow on the ground!
---
In French, there's a phrase "Tombe la neige." (La neige means the snow, and tombe means fall, so it means, the snow is falling.)
It's rainy can be written as "Tombe la pluie.", meaning the rain is falling.
Tomber in french is to fall.
Usually, it seems English and French are more similar than French and Korean, but when it comes to this situation, I guess French and Korean have something in common. I don't really hear "rain drops fall down" often in English as much in French. It's quite rare. :) so I found it interesting.
I guess that's why "Il pleure dans mon coeur Comme il pleut sur la ville" sounds special, and the rainy scenery today reminded me of this poem.

Plus, pleurer is to cry in French, and pleut(pleuvoir) means to rain, and they sound and seem similar.
In Korean, in case of 눈물을 흘리다 , to drop tears and, 비가 내리다, it's rainy/ rain is falling,
here, the verb 흘리다 and 내리다 seem quite alike.

Anyways...I feel it sounds more poetic or dramatic to say "the rain is falling" than "it's rainy."
and it's nice that Korean language has that beautiful word, so that we can use such a poetic verb, though I don't really remember this often.
It's what I happened to realize while taking a french class in the past.
-------------
Anyways... Let's enjoy the every moment, rain or shine!
as....Bob Marley said “Some people feel the rain. Others just get wet.”

Enjoy the photos! :D

This reminds me of a title of a poem "The road not taken" by Robert Frost.

11) May may come, but April is awesome too!

This was posted on 6th, April, 2015 here:

Hope these pictures bring you joy! :D
I'm uploading some of pictures I took on the campus, in the streets, or around my neighborhood.
Some time later, I'll upload better pictures when I get more time.
Korea gets more beautiful in May, but let's embrace the April too! :-) assuming every single moment is cool, feeling blessed/grateful to be alive.
even...when I'm blessed with a lot of homework and assignments... ^^; :P :p
Somehow living on the earth is like traveling.
These days, it's rainy or cloudy in Korea, so the picture quality isn't best, but let me share. :)
As one of the famous quotes says: Every day may not be good, but there’s something good in every day. :D Yay!

Below the pictures were taken today.
they're taking selfieeees! :D
check! check if your photo looks fine! :D

Magnificent!  (this pic was taken on 2nd, April)
One night in Seoul.
Beautiful sky in Hongdae!
These two were taken in Hongdae in March. ;)

Below are the pictures taken on the 1st, April at night. Night sky on the campus is so beautiful that my phone camera can't capture it enough.
It kind of reminded me of the sky in the summer in Tartu, Estonia. Before going to Estonia, I think I didn't really appreciate the beauty of night sky.
